What is equipment and assistive technology?

Assistive technology (AT) is equipment that helps you do things more easily or safely. It includes mobility aids, like wheelchairs and walkers, and everyday aids, like shower chairs and kitchen equipment.

Choosing the right equipment matters. We can help you work out what you need, trial options, and set it up so it works for you.

Low-cost items can often be bought with your Core budget. More expensive or complex equipment usually needs a quote and an assessment, and is funded from your Capital budget.
